ATHLETICS/ACTIVITIES
WHS is proud to offer student-athletes sixteen WIAA varsity level athletic programs for students enrolled in grades 9-12; the majority of the programs include sub-varsity level teams. We believe extra-curricular and co-curricular activities are vital to providing students the opportunity to become well-rounded young men and women. Our goal is to extend the lessons of the classroom to the field of play and show there is a true partnership between the classroom and activities. While academic measures have shown our students do well in the classrooms, our student-athletes, teams, and coaches have also achieved success competitively, as evidenced by recent Conference, Regional, Sectional, and State Championships.

Battle of the BooksBattle of the Books is a fun and competitive statewide reading competition open to all high school students!
From October through March, the club meets twice a month during homeroom or lunch. Students are placed into teams of up to four, and each team works together to read a list of 20 pre-selected books provided by the state.
At each meeting, teams earn points through activities and trivia challenges based on the books. The team with the highest overall score at the end of the season will represent WHS in the state competition held virtually in the WHS library during the last week of February.
If you love reading, teamwork, and a bit of friendly competition, Battle of the Books is the perfect fit. Join this academic team and show off your Tiger Pride!
